
Jodhpur, India – As the Indian Air Force gears up for Exercise Tarang Shakti-24, one of the largest multinational air exercises ever conducted in the country, the spotlight is also on the India Defence Aviation Exposition (IDAX-24).
Inaugurated today by the Honorable Raksha Mantri, this edition of IDAX, held alongside the air exercise, is set to showcase the impressive strides India has made in aerospace and defence technology.
IDAX-24, running from September 12th to 14th, will see extensive participation from both public and private sectors within the Indian aviation industry. It provides a unique platform for both domestic and international audiences to witness firsthand the ingenuity and potential of Indian companies.
The Indian Air Force's Directorate of Aerospace Design (DAD) will be a key participant, partnering with startups to showcase niche technologies aimed at revolutionizing defence capabilities. These include:
- RF Guns: Countermeasures to neutralize unmanned aerial threats.
- High Altitude Pseudo Satellites (HAPS): Platforms for extended surveillance and communication.
- Loitering Ammunition: Precision strike capabilities with enhanced target acquisition.
- Air-launched Flexible Assets: Adaptable payloads for diverse mission requirements.
- AR/VR Smart Glasses: Immersive training tools for aircrews.
- Expandable Active Decoys: Advanced defence mechanisms against incoming threats.
- Real-time Aircrew Health Monitoring: Ensuring optimal pilot performance and safety.
- Foldable Field Mats: Rapid runway repair solutions.
