President Muizzu's request for the removal of Indian military personnel from the Maldives is being seriously considered by New Delhi. Both parties are looking for a win-win solution that puts the traditional "Maldives-first" strategy first. Given its involvement in previous rescue efforts and worries about regional security, India isn't prepared for a total withdrawal. According to sources, the stability of the Indian Ocean has been greatly enhanced by the Indian navy presence, which has made various emergency drills easier. India respects the significance of the Maldives in the area, but it also understands that Muizzu's demand must be met. In order to find a middle ground, representatives from both countries have been selected...
Five years after the Doklam confrontation, the vital "Chicken's Neck" passage remains a thorn in China's neck. Beijing, undeterred, has shifted its focus to a distinct strategic vulnerability: the northern Himalayan frontier of Bhutan. Unsettling satellite photos from September highlight China's ceaseless territorial expansion. Beijing is building illegal townships in the beyul Khenpajong region, which is part of the disputed Jakarlung Valley. These outposts, thoroughly recorded by satellite eyes, cast a lengthy shadow over the two countries' future border talks. It is impossible to overestimate the strategic importance of the Jakarlung Valley. It avoids the Siliguri Corridor and offers a direct route to the Indian plains. With its...
