IAF to Forward Deploy Dharashakti EW Systems Near China-Pak Fronts, Enhancing Jamming Against Enemy AEWCS, Fighter Radars and SAR

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is reportedly strengthening its electronic warfare (EW) capabilities by forward deploying the indigenous Dharashakti EW system near its borders with Pakistan and China. This move is seen as a significant step in enhancing India's defence preparedness against evolving aerial threats.

According to reports, Dharashakti has proven to be more effective than the Israeli Scorpius-G system. This advanced ground-based system is capable of jamming a wide range of enemy electronic assets, including Airborne Early Warning and Control Systems (AEWCS), fighter aircraft radars, and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). Additionally, it can disrupt encrypted communication and navigation systems.

By deploying Dharashakti along sensitive borders, the IAF aims to neutralize potential threats and gain a strategic advantage in the region. The system's ability to disrupt enemy electronic systems will enhance situational awareness and operational security for Indian forces.

This deployment comes at a crucial time as India faces increasingly complex security challenges. Electronic warfare plays a pivotal role in modern combat, and the induction of the Dharashakti system marks a significant step in India's self-reliance in advanced defence technologies.

The development of Dharashakti is in line with India's focus on indigenous defence production. By reducing reliance on foreign systems, India aims to strengthen its defence capabilities and ensure strategic autonomy.

The IAF's forward deployment of Dharashakti is expected to significantly bolster its electronic warfare capabilities, providing a crucial edge in potential conflicts.

I highly doubt that tall claim. All of today's jammers are based on AESA antenna and the above does not have one. Trying to claim that it is better than the Scorpius jammer is laughable and ill-informed article for local consumption. So essentially the article claims that India has made a jammer that is better than the world leader in EW? Then why are we importing our jammers from Israel like the EL-8222 and many more?

India just need to deploy this along the border and switch it on permanently. We should just destroy their communication networks and systems. This will disrupt civilian and military communications networks.

Hmm, makes sense. What I know is, this system uses wide-band method instead of focused AESA. I guess to keep per unit cost low, AESA is not used in this. Possibly in future, upgrades will be introduced. But yaa, to say it's superior than aesa one is not right. Overclaim is not good, like that of Hermes 900 one.
