NewSpace to Showcase Its Stealth-Focused Loitering Munition at Aero India 2025, Possibly Boast Upto 500 Kms Range

NewSpace Research and Technologies, a rising star in India's aerospace industry, is set to unveil a revolutionary loitering munition at Aero India 2025. This cutting-edge drone, with its unique design and advanced capabilities, is poised to transform tactical aerial warfare.

The munition sports a distinctive cropped delta-wing design, seamlessly blending the fuselage and wings for enhanced aerodynamics. Stabilizing rudders at the wingtips further contribute to its aerodynamic profile, while a rear-mounted propeller system promises both stealth and efficient long-range operation.

Experts predict this drone could achieve an operational range of 300 to 500 kilometers, enabling significant strategic advantages in surveillance, reconnaissance, and targeted strikes.

This extended range would represent a considerable leap forward in unmanned aerial systems, particularly due to its capacity for prolonged loitering over designated areas.

Aero India 2025, commencing shortly in Bengaluru, will serve as the platform for NewSpace Research and Technologies to reveal the full technical specifications and operational capabilities of this new platform.

The event, renowned for showcasing cutting-edge aerospace and defence technology, provides the ideal setting for NewSpace to demonstrate how this loitering munition can integrate into modern combat scenarios and enhance the tactical flexibility of armed forces.

The innovative design of the munition, featuring its delta-wing shape, not only optimizes aerodynamic performance but also allows for increased payload capacity or extended fuel storage, both critical for long-endurance missions.

The incorporation of a rear-mounted propeller system further suggests a focus on minimizing acoustic signatures, making the drone more difficult for enemy forces to detect and providing a crucial tactical advantage in covert operations.

This unveiling highlights India's growing capabilities in the development of advanced unmanned aerial systems. With its potential for long-range missions and stealth capabilities, this new loitering munition could significantly bolster India's defence capabilities and potentially reshape the future of aerial warfare.

Let’s see if it can match Saheed.
Will likely exceed Shahed as NewSpace will have access to more advanced microchips and engine as we are not sanctioned and embargoed like Iran is. Shahed uses microchips intended for washing machines and toasters literally.

Hopefully this will be a major, advanced, heavy warhead and long range kamikaze drone that gives us a major advantage. Let’s wait and see until they reveal the details at the air show.

Looks like a legit company. Unless they can make it cheap, it wont be that significant. A real successful product in this space would be something that can take an existing 2 wheeler engine made in India and turn it into drone for as cheap as possible. Focus more on the software part. Work closely with an AI company. Key is to take advantage of economies of scale, steady supply chain that wont be embargoed in the event of war, and to build in huge numbers rapidly with cheap locally available materials. Imagine a drone built with TVS Excel engine and some lightweight material like plastic. Add in an android phone for the brains.

Shahed's USP is cheap ($10k), LO. Its not exactly a high end drone. But you are right, if it is not even matching Shahed then its worthless. My guess is per piece will cost 1cr and it will barely match Shahed.
