India Holds Nuclear Edge Over Pakistan, Leaps Ahead In Missile Tech: SIPRI Report

India Holds Nuclear Edge Over Pakistan Leaps Ahead In Missile Tech SIPRI Report-1.webp

The nuclear arms race between India and Pakistan continues. According to a report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), India has more nuclear weapons than Pakistan. SIPRI says that India had 172 nuclear weapons in 2024. This number has increased to 180 in 2025. India has also improved missiles carrying nuclear weapons. The SIPRI report has expressed concern over the increasing tension between India and Pakistan. The report says that China is increasing its nuclear capacity very rapidly. In view of such a situation, the nuclear arms race may start again around the world.

According to the report, India’s new ‘canisterized’ missiles are very safe. Nuclear weapons can be pre-loaded in them. These missiles can be capable of carrying nuclear weapons even in times of peace. In the future, these missiles can also be capable of carrying multiple nuclear weapons simultaneously.

The SIPRI report says that India has increased the number of its nuclear weapons in 2024. At the same time, it is also building new missiles. India’s ‘canisterized’ missiles, which have weapons pre-loaded, can carry nuclear weapons even in peacetime. Once operational, these missiles may also be able to carry multiple weapons at once.
