Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said the Brahmos missile proved instrumental in Operation Sindoor and since then, more than a dozen countries have expressed interest in it. Singh said this at an event in Lucknow where he unveiled a statue of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Bhanu Gupta at the National PG College and released a postage stamp in tribute to him.

“Just a few days ago, I inaugurated a Brahmos airspace integration and testing facility in Lucknow. You must have seen that in Operation Sindoor, Brahmos missile has done a miraculous job and not only this, after the miracle shown by Brahmos missile, about 14-15 countries have demanded Brahmos missile from India,” Singh said.

“Brahmos missile will now be exported from Lucknow as well. I believe that this facility will strengthen our country’s self-reliance in the defence sector, and at the same time, it will also create employment. My effort is that more industries should also come here so that, along with Lucknow, the state also develops rapidly,” he said.

The minister claimed that UP was attracting more and more industries on the back of strong law and order and infrastructural robustness.“Historical changes are taking place in infrastructure. Expressway, airport, metro, medical college, all these are presenting a new picture of development,” he said.

Singh, who is the Lok Sabha MP from Lucknow, also showered praise on Gupta, who served as the CM of Uttar Pradesh for three terms.

“Gupta ji started as a simple worker in the freedom movement and made a place in the hearts of millions of people through his sacrifice, commitment and leadership. His life tells us that power does not mean only position or authority, but responsibility, sacrifice and protecting the interests of the public. His life also gives us the message that there may be differences in politics, but there should not be animosity,” he said.

Just let us know when someone buys it. I hate politicians who have no clue about the missile and how it integrates into current systems or even how it works.

Leave the sales to professionals who are engineers or military people. Stop taking credit for something that hasn't even happened. Most countries are being blackmailed and told what to buy and when. Look at Trump, see what he will do to India in trade talks. He has zero respect for India. If he could, he would deport every Indian from the US.

Indian politicians should stop begging to be the US's friend. The US has friends with countries they respect. All white countries, The US like Europe are racist countries that will never let India become their equal. If you have traveled the world as I have, you would know this.

India should do trade deals with countries like Canada and England. Smell the salt, Focus on countries that want to do business with India. Stop protecting industries in India. If we can't compete with labour costs 1/10th of a wester country. Then we need to fix that. Tell the billionaires they are on their own. Also, stop killing people in western countries who have a difference of opinion with the government. If you want to be a real democracy, grow a thick skin.

The Armed Forces of India will not let Brahmos missiles be sold to any western country . They will reveal the secrets to their Military Industrial Complex to develop countermeasures.

The ongoing wars of the 21st century are technology intensive. Precision, lethality, rapid responses are the crux of strategy. Finally Surprise is the First Principle of War . Never ever give away that capability for a few coins.

American F22 Raptor of Lockheed Martin is still a very prime 5th gen fighter. When this entered into services American did not offer this to anyone in the world, today also it is not even to NATO and not even it is offered to Israel. The reason cited was too good to export. I feel BrahMos comes under same category as too good to export, as this was shown during Op Sindoor. But we have already supplied it to Philippines. Philippines takes arms from anybody as it is not struck to one particular Nation. US, China also offer them the arms. Its very easy that China might take the missile from them and reverse engineer it. We are one of the fools who do not know what should be given and what not. I mean India want to sell every defense equipment to world, that is home grown this is not at all logical and a big threat in long run.

Tune them to hit only Chinese ships but not land based targets or anyone else .This will cause less unease among nations neutral to us in its range . We must not be arming countries that are busy waging wars on weaker nations as we need goodwill more than blood in our hands , but yes China is a problem, so keep to it. Vietnam, Indonesia, Phillipines are understandable customers due to Chinese military doctrine but gulf nations are useless and somehow we will be antagonising somone in that region and even Armenia, cyprus and Greece should be denied Bhramos as they are useless countries anyways and cc and don't have military prowess .only capable nations with capabilities to use these missile by merit .

China gave its best military equipment to the most useless of militaries like Pakistan and in turn now has suffered at our hands as operators of system, military political will is needed for weapons to be used effectively,so why give Bhramos to useless chillar change militaries.
